Nikki Haley on Climate Change: ‘It Is Real’

Just because President Donald Trump pulled the United States out of the Paris climate accord, that does not mean his administration does not believe in climate protection, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said Tuesday while acknowledging that climate change “is real.” “We’re not saying that climate change is not real,” the former South Carolina governor told NBC’s “Today” show. “It is real. Democrats designed the tax to be calculated based on insurance premiums, meaning that the cost of the tax would pass directly to small businesses and middle-class families through higher premiums. The health insurance even impacts seniors through Medicare Advantage plans and low-income Americans that rely on Medicaid managed plans. The Heritage Foundation reported that if Republicans fail to … Read More

NKorea Rebuffs Nuclear Talks, Says US to ‘Pay Dearly’

North Korea condemned the latest round of United Nations sanctions and reiterated that it wouldn’t negotiate over its nuclear program until the U.S. ceases “hostile” policies. Kim Jong Un’s regime said it will “make the U.S. pay dearly for all the heinous crime it commits against the state and people of this country,” the Korean Central News Agency reported on Monday. In a separate statement to reporters in Manila, North Korea called President Donald Trump’s “America First” policy dangerous and said its nuclear program was necessary to avoid a U.S. invasion similar to those in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya. … Read More
