Attn. media guardians of the 1st Amendment! AOC’s lending a hand to ‘reject sales of the NY Post’
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is among lefties who did not like the New York Post’s cover hammering Rep. Ilhan Omar for her comments about 9/11:
I’m not going to quote the NY Post’s horrifying, hateful cover.
Here’s 1 fact: @IlhanMN is a cosponsor of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. She‘s done more for 9/11 families than the GOP who won’t even support healthcare for 1st responders- yet are happy to weaponize her faith.

And Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has followed that up with action. Step aside, Amazon, because AOC has her sights set on getting rid of more jobs in her state:
Two years ago, Bodega owners across NYC (& cheered by neighbors)shut their shops citywide to protest Trump’s #MuslimBan.
Today, that same community is banding together to reject sales of the NY Post at bodegas citywide.
This is what real unity (& NYC solidarity) looks like ⬇️ https://t.co/mj8vtA4Pv5

The mainstream media who proclaim that an attack on one journalist is an attack on all journalists will immediately issue statements denouncing AOC for giving an assist to this boycott effort, right?

Maybe the rest of the media doesn’t have any energy left after protesting the Newseum selling “Fake News” shirts.
Soooo…..we're cool with this call to put local journalists out of work?
That's a thing no one gets mad about now? https://t.co/Qb4swtFb7Y

Remember this next time partisan Democrats claim to be defenders of a free press against the supposed threats to it made by the President. https://t.co/WsIllrOsfY

They won’t remember it.
All I see is a politician attacking the first amendment https://t.co/EajoIHpimZ

Some attacks on a free press by government officials are better than others. https://t.co/5JT2mxikXx

Maybe CNN’s chief defender of all media not called “Fox News” can help:

We’ll wait for that to happen. #Crickets
