‘Why don’t you give?’ Bernie Sanders asks Martha MacCallum why doesn’t SHE pay more than she owes?
As Twitchy reported, Bernie Sanders was a guest on Fox News Monday, where he attended a town hall with moderators Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum and admitted that health care is not free.
We also found out Monday, due to the release of his tax returns, that Sanders and his wife have a couple million stashed. It’s tax day — if he thinks the rates should be higher, why doesn’t he set the example and write the government a big fat check?
MacCallum: “So would you be willing to pay 52% on the money that you made? You can volunteer, you can send it back”
Bernie: “You can volunteer too…why don’t you give? You make more money than I do”
M: “I didn’t suggest a wealth tax”
Baier: “And she’s not running for POTUS” pic.twitter.com/zn4XrzJIXG

No, she’s not the one running for president and promising to raise taxes to cover Medicare for All and whatever else he wants to be “free.” That was pretty childish of him to turn the question back on MacCallum. Why do you hate strong women, Bernie?
How in the world could anyone agree with this guy? Has he answered one question?

Socialists always nominate someone else for taxes….

This is excellent

Deflection…deflection…deflection. If he really believes his position he would be voluntarily giving up the extra just to validate his position.

The "tax the rich" crowd talk a big game, but they don't want to participate themselves. Hypocrites.

Write the check, @SenSanders

Bernie wants us all to sacrifice, just not him.

Gigantic assclown. True socialist though. Everybody pays but him!
— Benjamin Harvey (@theweekendSPC) April 15, 2019
Anybody else find it ironic that @realDonaldTrump who is a capitalist donates his entire salary to the government, yet @BernieSanders a self-proclaimed socialist wont even donate the amount that he wants to force all of us to pay?

He’s disrespectful and a joke. She asked a question, he throws it back at her. It’s his town hall.

This is the same rhetoric that he had in 2016 when he was being interviewed just prior to the CA primary. He got pissed that 2 news guys were asking him for direct answers and he complained and spun it around enough times that he could even answer a softball question.

Bet he is feeling the Bern right now.

It’s starting to look like being a millionaire won’t be great for Bernie.

Write the check Bernie let’s see

I'll give him credit. He's may be ducking and dodging, but he's at least there, unlike the rest of the DNC.

He's such a crazy goober.

Love it he felt so weak in his views that he had to be standing. He had a seat provided for him right in camera shot. The others were seated.

At least the make-up and hair crew at Fox News did a nice job on him.
Most impressive was that Bernie didn't use a balloon to style his hair tonight.
— Mark Weiss (@markhweiss) April 15, 2019
Bernie combed his hair? What, does he have to go to traffic court after his Fox appearance?
