You too can help Linda Sarsour understand the difference between abortion and the death penalty
Women’s March co-founder Linda Sarsour has weighed in on the signing of Alabama’s pro-life Human Rights Protection Act, and she’s falling back on a tired old argument that isn’t that difficult to dismantle, but since she’s asking …
I am trying to understand how you can be pro-life and pro-death penalty at the same time. 🤔🤔
— Linda Sarsour (@lsarsour) May 15, 2019
A lot of chin-scratching going on there. Time to put on the old pussy hat — erm, thinking cap — and really mull this over.
Simple. Because one is killing a innocent child who has done nothing wrong and the other is justice against a criminal who has usually taken another's life or committed some other heinous crime.
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) May 15, 2019
It's kind of like asking how one can be against kidnapping but in favor of locking up criminals.
— Jeryl Bier (@JerylBier) May 15, 2019
I'm not pro-death penalty myself, but I think the nuances here are pretty obvious. https://t.co/6EWtNVfHa0
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) May 15, 2019
Yeah, there’s a difference between “innocent” and “guilty”.
I’m cautiously pro-death penalty in the absolute worse of cases where certain very strict conditions should be met.
Even so, the distinction should take less then a moment to work out.

Pretty easy, one can make choices the other can't.
— Joshua Butterbaugh (@jdbutterbaugh) May 15, 2019
cause the baby is innocent.
— David Gleeson (@Dave1555) May 15, 2019
Because the fetus/baby didn’t commit a crime
— Bernardistan (@Eunitty) May 15, 2019
One is innocent, the other isn’t. Simples.
— Introvert Dad (@dad_introvert) May 15, 2019
The baby is innocent and the person being put to death is not
— OddieMonsta (@OddieMonsta) May 15, 2019
One is innocent of a crime. (Spoiler alert: it’s the kid)
— Charles Bellows (@charles_bellows) May 15, 2019
It goes like this: the unborn did not have a choice in being conceived. The ones serving for a life sentence or capital punishment, had that choice and was represented by a defense. Notice the word “choice”. All a matter of free will!

Babies haven’t committed horrific crimes. It isn’t really that difficult to understand for most people.
— dwhite376 (@derrin376) May 15, 2019
You mean "how can you be anti-abortion and pro-death penalty at the same time."
Easy: Innocent humans do not deserve to be poisoned and ripped apart.
Humans guilty of heinous crimes like rape and murder deserve death. You disagree?
— Bradley (@1averagepatriot) May 15, 2019
I’m pro-life and anti-death penalty. How can someone be pro-abortion and anti-death penalty?
— Ben Richards (@BRichardsssss) May 15, 2019
@lsarsour Simple! An innocent baby has done absolutely nothing wrong to deserve to Die! Where as someone who tortures and kills another human being does! Very VERY BIG difference between the two.
— Raquel McInroe (@raquel_mcinroe) May 15, 2019
Abortion is the killing of an innocent person. A person who has never done wrong. The death penalty kills an evil person. A person who has done morally reprehensible things. That you can't differentiate between these two is troubling.
— Bud E (@ebleas) May 15, 2019
Linda, think about it for two minutes. I know you’ll figure it out.
— Jack is a-Door-able 🤠 (@DoorknobJack) May 15, 2019
It's actually really simple. Unborn babies didn't commit heinous crimes warranting the death penalty. How do you not get that?
— Tony P. 🇺🇸 (@ampdup1587) May 15, 2019
It's like me trying to inderstand your stance on Jewish people. pic.twitter.com/1h32evtbcN
— Snako (@wakosnako) May 15, 2019
How can you be for Shariah and women’s rights? 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ Oh that’s right. You can’t. #whitegirllinda
— Evan Israel Brenner (@brennertribe) May 15, 2019
I am trying to understand how you can be a so called orthodox muslim wearing a hijab and be pro-choice
— Franck Rei (@Zaratruthsra) May 15, 2019
I had no idea Islam was pro-abortion. 😂
— Kay (@Kay36617141) May 15, 2019
islam is pretty down with the death penalty 😂 also, chopping off hands and feet.
— No Trump/Russia collusion, bro (@LeftismIsLies) May 15, 2019
Come up with an original objection that hasn't been responded to, Linda.
— George Brahm (@GeekPhilosopher) May 15, 2019
Again, the lengths people will go to to avoid the reality of abortion. If you’re for it, own it.
'This is a lie'! AOC's case against the Alabama anti-abortion bill is dripping with dishonesty https://t.co/9GnQLKrwMk
